"Some say that Box Full of Wasps theater collective is comprised of a group of artists who obviously had twisted childhoods, but we think that is untrue and that they're actually a group of artists who like reading about children who had twisted childhoods. All of their work is inspired or adapted from children's novels. The darker aspects of those stories are what they choose to reinvent an older audience."

Bose Pacia presents the Opening Reception for Bari Kumar & Mondongo's Material Witness on Thursday, September 9th from 6pm to 8pm. The large-scale "paintings" of the Los Angeles-based Kumar and the Buenos Aires-based collective Mondongo are constructed with various non-traditional substances.

'A material witness is a person who contains real or alleged information, or "material" of importance to criminal trial. As such they become bound to the event irrespective of interest or intent.'
